Reselling options
Scale one - Lead generation
Commission: 10% on final invoice amount (bonus - all jobs
over £300.00 minimum commission of £50.00).
Type of reselling - A reseller on this scale is not required
to anything other than pass on leads to Pearson Treehouse.
Pearson Treehouse will then contact the customer directly.
If the lead turns into a website the reseller receives 10%
of the final invoice amount.
This sort of reselling would suit individuals who hear of
the occasional requirement from a website. Maybe you are already
involved with a sales job that puts you in front of businesses
that could be in need of a website - Independent print brokers,
mobile PC maintenance companies etc.
Average earned per month Aug 2004 - Aug 2005 per
reseller on this scheme: £70.00
Top earned per month Aug 2004 - Aug 2005 on this scheme: £240.00
Example - Jonathan Glendening. "I work in the film
industry as a writer / editor. The work can on occasions be
a little sporadic and I have found that a number of times
I have been able to earn extra revenue by passing on leads
to Pearson Treehouse. Finding leads for them is something
I am able to do whilst I am engaged in my own activities,
and is never a chore. Then all I have to do is call them and
I'm suddenly forty to eighty pounds better off!"

Scale two - sales generation (new!)
Commission: 17.5% on final invoice amount (bonus - all jobs
over £300.00 minimum commission of £70.00).
Type of reselling - A reseller on this scale has some more
involvement in the sale. Here the reseller finds out the customers
exact requirements, notifies Pearson Treehouse of the needs,
receives the quote and order form and returns the signed off
order form to Pearson Treehouse.
Again this sort of reselling would suit individuals who hear
of the occasional requirement from a website. We have found
that resellers on the first scale will after a period of time
be keen to move onto this scale as the two scales are effectively
very easy to move in between on a job by job basis. For individuals
or companies who wish to commit to this scale there is the
option to add our websites section to your own site as a cross
branded section (e.g. Website design brought to you by 'your
company' / Pearson Treehouse).
Of course the other advantage of this scale is that if customers
keep coming back to you as their point of contact you will
get commission on every job rather than just initial lead!
Scale three - Sell your own websites
Commission: 25% on final invoice amount.
Type of reselling - In this third scale a reseller is equipped
with a complete set of web products branded in their own company
name. This will either be as a new website or as a section
from the reseller's existing website.
The reseller will then be able to sell sites themselves,
dealing with all aspects of the sale apart from the actual
design and build. Pearson Treehouse will invoice the reseller
directly - allowing the reseller to invoice their own customers.
Not only does this allow the reseller to keep their own customer
rather than passing them on, but it also allows the reseller
to set their own price range dependent on their region.
Note: While resellers are able to set their own price it
is recommended that they stay with the RRP set by Pearson
Treehouse.
Average earned per month Aug 2004 - Aug 2005 per
reseller on this scheme: £600.00
Top earned per month Aug 2004 - Aug 2005 on this scheme: £
699.00
Example: Pearson Treehouse developed our range of web
products with us. We have seen the web sales part of our business
grow substantially from the occasional site to an average
of ten websites a month since our decision to outsource all
web design work to them.
